Lio Piccolo

Lio Piccolo is a village located on the Venetian Lagoon, within the municipality of Cavallino. While it is sometimes referred to as an island, it is rather a collection of islets separated by narrow canals. The road to Lio Piccolo from Treporti is very scenic and completely surrounded by wetlands.

The shortest route to reach the city is "Cavallino - Punta Sabbioni" (9 km from us); you can choose to drive in your car or take a bus. At Punta Sabbioni you will find the motorboat port, with departures for Piazza San Marco in Venice about every thirty minutes. From Punta Sabbioni you can easily reach the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello.


Murano is one of the main islands in the Lagoon and is famous for its glassblowing tradition. For centuries, life on this small island has revolved around the furnaces where glass objects are crafted and sold all over the world.


Burano one of the most famous Venetian islands, famous for its colourful houses and very narrow canals. It is also renowned all over the world for lace making.


Torcello is an island situated in the northern area of the Venetian Lagoon. It was one of the oldest and most prosperous settlements in the Lagoon until its decline following the predominance of nearby Venice and the changing environmental conditions.
